Gel and hair loss

I use regularly gel on my hair.
I've just read this article: http://www.stylecraze.com/articles/side ... hair-gels/ which is quite clear about the damage that the chemicals can do.
I'd like to know if you use hair gel and what's your opinion on the article.

I read the article. Some of those side effects are a little scary - "The gels clog the hair follicles and eventually cause the hair to fall out." Instead of the gels I use a few drops of macadamia oil on my hair after I shampoo. Give this a try. You might like the way it makes your hair feel.

This may be useful. I also found that if you give up conditioners and too much shampooing, hair as a result is less soft and gel is no longer necessary since you'll be able to model it anyway.
