How often should I use Nizoral

I bought Nizoral 1% shampoo because of custormer reviews I read on amazon. I don't really have a hair problem yet but I wonder what is the optimal use of this shampoo. Is once a week enough to get some benefit? And just a general question about shampoos. Is it necessary to apply and rinse the shampoo twice. On the Nizoral directions it says to repeat. My hair feels clean after just one application.
