Re: Retinol(Retin) induced hair loss

I took Accutane, two courses. The second time I finished about 10 years ago, and my skin was so dry and since then has never been the same. However, I retained my hair up until about a year ago when I noticed Rogaine was no longer holding down the fort so to speak. I applied it but hair still fell o...

Re: My demonstration of what I think the SE looks like

That wasn't even the longest my hair got! Check out below. The bad and the worst, you haven't see the crown yet. But yea man, I think the name of the game is to stabilize the body with proper nutrition (I was a real glutton and hedonist before I started the SE) and then you can stabilize the hair, m...

Re: Doing scalp exercise with weight

I do this often, what you described. My problem area is still the crown, and I will often anchor my fingers right on the steeple of my head (I can feel a protrding piece of skull) to pull forward towards the forhead for 40 repetitions, then backwards towards the occips for 40 counts. And then, all a...

Re: se question+video

That's what its called: foramena. I feel one, like a steeple, right at the peak of my head. It is here that I'm having the most trouble with hair recovery. That map of the foramen pretty muchs shows the topography of my own head when I feel it with my fingers. I find that rubbing the scalp in semi-f...

Re: My demonstration of what I think the SE looks like

Yea man, I think we all need a reality check somewhere in life: we can't all be young and cocky forever, we'd destroy ourselves. Thank God above, because I stopped eating like 12 a year old boy (McDonald's and all manner of candy) and found the value in working hard for what I want. I think the word...

Re: Retinol(Retin) induced hair loss

You must be talking about Accutane my man. Dangerous drug, not to be recommended. Retin-A, if it was a topical, is also pretty strong stuff. But what is done is done. As always, length of use and other circumstances might factor into medication use. How long did you use Rogaine and what results if a...

Re: my 8 year long reason for MPB

I don't think its somehow blood shortge as it is that when what is in the blood gets to the hair follicles that are sensitive, there may be issues getting the "irritant in the blood" quickly enough away from the follicles. I pretty much subscribe to Tom's theory on this. I think a lot of what contri...

Re: se question+video

Hey vali, I had a similar history as you and about the same amount of time doing the SE. I stopped Rogaine maybe about 7 months ago and have been doing SE for 10 months. Your hair in the video doesn't look bad, how long ago did you quit Rogaine? I think it just takes time, and I definitely can tell ...

Re: My demonstration of what I think the SE looks like

And by the way, I am glad you are experiencing less itching. I didn't believe Tom when I first battled the itching, that it would just go away or be much less frequent with more SE. He's right! I haven't had a palpable, annoying itch like I did right when I started SE in at least 2-3 months! But, I ...
