Re: My demonstration of what I think the SE looks like

Hey Arfan, All I can say is that when it is done right, you will be able to tell. The concerted movement of the ears the frontalis and the occips has a very satisfying "Pulley" type feeling. Tom makes a good point about biofeedback too. He suggests a pillow biofeedback technique; my on-the-go techni...

A shed/thinning 1 year into SE?

Have any avid SE-ers experienced a shed after a seemingly successful period of time on the SE? In fact, it might just be noticing what has been there for a while, but I have noticed my temples seem to march backwards ever so slightly after thinking it was coing forward again. A year ago I had no not...

Re: My demonstration of what I think the SE looks like

https://youtu.be/UVumpShUjro Hi Arfan (and Tom too, I'm still a Padawan after a year!), Put up a new demonstration video for you to see. First 20 or so seconds is the full movement as I know it (however I think there is some bias because I'm holding my cell phone off to the side and that's a distrac...

Re: My demonstration of what I think the SE looks like

Arfan, old pal! Bro, while you have some work to do, it doesn't look so bad, in my humble opinion. You've got jet black hair and still decent coverage around the crown, although there is some daylight there----better having black hair than blonde right? Guys our age find it impossible to think of do...

Re: Whisker hairs

Hey anush, I used to swear by the idea that using topical things could improve hair. Creams, rogaine, shampoos/conditioners (especially if they were fragrant in some way). Tried oiling my hair based on some advice from youtube. I just used apple cider vinegar in my hair, which I put in maybe once ev...

Re: Bald spots above ears is it alopecia areata?

Hey there Walt, Its an interesting question, and I noticed I had finer hair in the area you're talking about before starting the SE. I keep my hair longer than shorter generally and this started making certain parts of the sides of my head stick out when I had the longer hair there because I was try...

Re: About using alcohol to wipe the scalp to prevent hair lo

My whole reason for quitting Rogaine was because of what the alcohol content in the foam did my scalp as far as irritation. Alcohol dries so efficiently, so I imagine any measurable benefit would be to those with super oily complexions.

Re: My demonstration of what I think the SE looks like

I was going to say the same thing about density, you're right hand picture does look better. Be careful about what the derms prescribe because if its a topical whose name ends in something like -sone or -olone, you've got a steroid, and its usefulness will expire after only a few weeks. They can thi...

Re: How I do the SE

You should force your daughters and grand-daughters to do it too herewhere, haha! Just kidding, just force the males. I know I will...Startin' at 12! Can you imagine pre-teens doing the SE, at home? And slipping up and doing it in public every now and then? For some reason I'm laughing, privately, i...

Re: My demonstration of what I think the SE looks like

These are great pics to have up Arfan. Congrats for that. It helps us all kind of see how hair can look when we don't comb/groom it in the most possible flattering way for ourselves to see our areas of improvement. I think I differ from you and vali in that my left side seems to be my stronger side,...
