17 months of SE/Wim Hof method

Hello hair-raisers (heh), Coming thru with an update. Have been very happy with the results of nearly 1.5 years of SE, and continue to see new hairs propping up, mostly around the front "widow's peak". Crown is variable, but combing over to cover it up is getting easier and easier. The temple areas ...

Re: 14 MONTHS of SE, right before a haircut

Thanks man, that's nice of you to say. Tom talked about senescent thinning, which my google research tells me should start occurring after about 50 or 60 years of age. I'm not sure if MPB HAS to start at a certain age, but more importantly that it follows the typical Norwoodian pattern, which I thin...

14 MONTHS of SE, right before a haircut

These photos are post some lengthy advanced exercise sessions, so it might be more puffed out than usual. I'm pretty happy right now, but as always I wish the progress was faster. I am after all 34 years old, it might not be as fast as it could have been in my 20's...does it LOOK like I'm getting ha...

Re: A shed/thinning 1 year into SE?

So true Arfan! Its almost elusive; when we really care about the hair, we're distracted from whats important. When I'm focusing on other stuff in my life, and I'm active and happy due to something else, my hair follows suit and seems to look better. Couldn't have nailed the psychology of it all bett...

Re: are dandruff and androgenic alopecia related?

Singhisking, if you're trying to see if you have gluten/lactose sensitivities, etc, I'd recommend looking around to see if you can find coconut milk yogurt and substitutes like this. I have been using coconut milk yogurt to replace regular yogurt, and it has all the probiotics you'd expect without t...

Re: SE: three and half months after the start

That's an incredible analogy, Tom, that I can relate to. Regarding the "morphology" I guess I am talking about the morphology of the skin on the scalp. I think the way the existing scalp skin is distributed around the skull influences the visual distribution. Maybe this is why the advanced exercise ...

Re: SE: three and half months after the start

Hey OhS, So I wrote you on another thread about this exact thing. Yea, you're not imagining that. I think in addition to the "erectness" of the hair strands, the SE can produce immediate pleasing effects because it can create some slack on key areas of the scalp skin that allow it "retract" into a s...

Re: A shed/thinning 1 year into SE?

Yea, I'm still looking for the ideal (for me) interval. I used to really think that washing the hair is a do or die situation, but I've come to look more foward to grooming my hair in certain alternate ways. I think you're more likely to get your hair to look the way you want it by prepping it with ...

Re: Swimmers

I think I noticed soccer players (footballers to the rest of the world ouside the US) seem to have hair challenges on the Icelandic national team. Other than Ronaldo, Portugal have hair loss problems. Iniesta of Spain, lost everything, and he's barely 30 years old. So I'm not sure about it. I think ...
