Re: Question about AGA sign

Thanks so much, Tom. I just wonder, having a wider part than my daughter, is that bad?? Or just a normal variance?

Re: Question about AGA sign

Thanks! That's where the stress comes from--never being able to get a definite answer from docs. But having a wide--er part isn't necessarily bad, right, just a difference in density? Like my husband says--I've always had a wider part, even when I was smaller. I don't mean to be rude or demand answe...

Question about AGA sign

I've been doing better with shedding, honestly, I've gotten away from the 200+ daily I had three years ago. My ponytail circumference measures the same, thank God. But. . . . the only complaint, worry I have is this. I still shed some of those vellus hairs, and some longer, thinner, kinky hairs. My ...

multivitamins

I come to you because you seem so intelligent, and I am just hoping for your opinion, is you don't mind. I take a prenatal vitamin, as I'm pregnant. But lately I've read that too much copper can cause alzheimers, an aging issue!! THey say that more than .9mg in a multi is too much, now my prenatal h...

Re: MPB in women??

Thanks, so much. At least that gives me a baseline on how much red meat/iron sources I need to get a week to make an improvement. Because these doctors will not cooperate with me to recheck levels as they feel the levels are just fine. I do seriously hope that those skinny, lighter colored hairs tha...

Re: MPB in women??

I was just informed that my ferritin is still at 22. I take a prenatal (I'm pregnant) but how could I try and raise that with diet?? would red meat three times a week be sufficient?? I still find like two thinner, lighter colored kinky hairs in my sheds a day (average) when I wash only and I don't k...

Re: MPB in women??

Tom, I sincerely appreciate your opinion. I regard you as someone highly knowledgable in this topic. All do respects, truly. I wasn't looking for a diagnosis as I know you don't do that, but I was more or less trying to evaluate this dermatologist's answer that he gave me after seeing pics of my tem...

Re: Wrinkles forming

When you first lift the eyebrows, (because I'm doing this and seeing horizontal lines forming, more than the one I have already to begin with). After lifting those eyebrows, should you immediately relax the frontalis, or wait until you contract the occipitalis and then relax the front?? I hate seein...

MPB in women??

I have always had a high forehead and what might look like some a "receding" temples hairline. I can include pics if desired, since I was in my teens for sure. I don't have any pics of younger to verify. But now I've had a dermatologist who looked at my before pic and my "now" pic say that it looks ...

update on me, sad

I come to you, perhaps just to be comforted. I went to the derm today, after I continue to shed high amounts of hair. I've been on spironolactone for over a year for PCOS (100mg/day) I just feel my density is off. This dermatologist looked at my hair with his light on his head and told me I had pari...
