Re: scalp exercise.

Yes, send me a video. Make sure that one shot from the side view is of you contracting just the occipitalis muscle at the back of your head. I can tell from that shot if you are doing the scalp exercise correctly. Send the video to tvhagerty@gmail.com

Re: Question about Shedding

It sounds like vanity (maybe it is) but looking good as the years go by has a lot of advantages. Good hair is an important part of looking good. Women seem to like a guy with good hair unless the guy is a total idiot. A total idiot can have all the hair in the world but he won't set a woman's world ...

Re: Question about Shedding

The scalp hair follicles are incredibly complex hair producing machines. When looked at under a microscope there are many layers and very many capillaries that nourish these layers inserted at the base of the follicle. When these follicles are young and relatively undamaged by a diet of innutritious...

Re: Question about Shedding

Watch Riley Eusden do the scalp exercise: https://www.hairloss-reversible.com/the-scalp-exercise-video/ He does it perfectly. Watch it several times in order to see the alternate contraction of both epicranial muscles. The dermatologist you talked to is correct: Many men in their thirties and fortie...

Re: Question about Shedding

Hair is important. In the LA Fitness gym where I work out, about half the guys have shaved heads. But I still think that a full head of healthy, well-groomed hair looks better. I don't know of any physiological reason the scalp exercise would produce even minor shedding. Some medications for hair gr...

Re: Scalp exercise

You wrote that you, "managed excellent contraction fore and aft." Many men have sent me videos of themselves doing the scalp exercise. Only about half, though, are contracting the occipitalis muscle at the back of the head. You evidently gained control of the occipitalis muscle and were do...

Re: efficacy for 40+ men

The majority of men in their 20s and 30s who are doing the scalp exercise right see stabilization or improvement in their hair. These are the people who are enthusiastic about the program and stay with it. I don't get many emails from older men who are doing the scalp exercise so I can't tell if the...

Re: Doing the scalp exercise properly

I contract both heads of the occipitalis muscles at the same time. I can feel them bunch up under my fingers when I hold my fingers tightly over them. Several people who do the scalp exercise have told me the same thing - they cannot isolate just one side when they are doing the SE. Even though my o...

Re: Doing the scalp exercise properly

No, you're not doing the scalp exercise right. Of course you're contracting the frontalis muscle at the front of your head correctly. This is a completely voluntary muscle. But I don't see that you have any control of the occipitalis muscle. This is a voluntary muscle too, but it's only voluntary on...
