Re: I think I see some results

Raul P, I did not have aggressive hair loss. Only the hair in my temple area was falling out. At nineteen or twenty years of age, though, this loss of hair really depressed me. When I walked by the store windows on Brand Boulevard in Glendale, California, I would notice my vanishing hair. I didn't l...

Re: I think I see some results

Many scientists who have studied hair loss claim that once a hair follicle is dead, it cannot be revived. But it's hard to determine when a follicle is dead or just in a dormant state. Dormant hair follicles can be revived, and although it's not usual, they can produce a terminal hair again. A termi...

If you are getting even a small contraction of the occipitalis muscles at the back of the head, you will benefit from the scalp exercise. Many people, though, are just contracting the frontalis muscle at the front of the head. This is not the right way to do the exercise because you will not be gett...

Here are some definitions: "The devices do need FDA 'clearance' before they can be marketed and sold, but rather than submit their products for clinical trial, the manufacturers are required instead to convince the FDA that their products are 'substantially equivalent' to products that have been pre...

Andy Griffith was born good-looking and talented. I wonder if those deep horizontal forehead lines and that vertical line between the eyebrows would become smaller if he did the scalp exercise properly. They of course could never be totally erased. His hair is thick too - a genetic marvel. Did you e...

I get brewer's yeast from Swanson - 100% Pure Brewer's Yeast Powder . Of course I order it on-line. There are other good brands too. Look around and compare the products and the prices. I blend it with apple juice or with orange juice. It tastes good. Some nutrition gurus stress the detoxification o...

Rubin, you asked many important questions, that is important for people who have thinning hair or lack of hair density. I just finished reading Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker. He has many thoughts and theories about sleep and dreams but he supports his theories with scientific experiments by himself...

Re: Eating disorder + hair regrowth... Please help!!

You will read comments like these in magazine articles: "While there is no way to change the texture of the hair, there are many things people can do to make the hair appear thicker." Maybe this is true in many cases. If a person is old, if a person has bad health habits, if a person is under contin...

Re: I want my hair to look good again

I used to take flaxseed and evening primrose softgels but I no longer do this. In fact, the only softgels (capsules) I take now are D3 and Astaxanthin. I also take sea kelp tablets which are a natural source of iodine. Read Shelley Moore's article (Oct. 03, 2017) about flaxseed oil and ground flaxse...

Re: I want my hair to look good again

Kimie, I watch some of the lectures that medical people give on public TV. Many of them talk about how prolonged psychological stress (a "heavy heart") takes its toll on physical health. Bad hair is one of the first indications of less than optimum physical health. (Have you noticed the coats of cat...
