http://www.youngagain.com/linumlife1.html Says in a study of 10 men, it helped 8 of them moderatley, 1 signifiantly, 1 not at all. Seems too good to be true? What do you think? |

Reading up on the website for LinumLife, the president is reporting that "Flaxseed oil is the next big market" so this might just be a bullsh** study in order to push up stock prices and hype for flaxseeds. Mind you, I don't think that flaxseed oil doesn't have it's benifits, but this ***MIGHT*** just be a way of puffing up the stock by preying on innocent balding men. |

Sorry, I'm the same poster as the two up above, I've searched on google and it seems that only two websites sell the product in it's direct form, and one website says the product has been "disconintued by the manufacter." I found another website that sells the product, called prostate optimizer, it has green tea extrat, saw plamento, omega 3, SDG (the product in LinumLife) and other fatty acids, seems like all these products can be used to treat hair loss. God, with reseraching SE, looking up all this crap, I feel so convulated about my hair loss. |

Okay, fourth post.. same person.. ha, I wonder why no one has responded yet? Oh well. I found after more reseraching I got this website: http://www.flaxlignaninfo.com/RSG_Flax/DigiFolder.nsf/htmlViewDocuments/FF7D1241 8213A811C1256FA800396382 It has a list of companies that sell the product made by LinumLife. It says you need a minimum of 50 mg of SDG from Flax to benifit from it. I'm ordering some tonight, just need to find a good website. Once I find it, I'll post a fifth post, ha! |

Vitacost: NSI Flax Seed Lignans -- 40 mg - 120 Capsules 19.79 + 4.99 s/h = 25.00 for 120 dady supply / 40 mg SDG SwaNSON: LinumLife High Lignan Complex 120 capsules 2 Capsules per day (21-36 SDG per/cap) 11.59 + 5.00 s / h = 16.60 2 Bottles 11.50 (x2) + 5.00 s/h = 27.00 (240 capsules, 120 day supply) So... they cost roughly the same, but with two Swanson a day, you get 42 - 72 mg of SDG per day, and in the study it says you need at least 50 to enjoy the full benifits. I think I'm going to try out Swanson, not sure if I want to order 1 or 2... |

Whole flaxseeds are the best form of flaxseed to take. You should mix it with other food, such as oatmeal. |

I agree with BRAINIAC. Flaxseed powder is the best form to take because it is less processed and has addition beneficial phytochemicals in it. It tastes OK with oatmeal is you add some blueberries or red grapes. |

I have being taking flaxseed oil for around 6 months and have found it suprisingly very beneficial.I do not know if im right but in order to benefit from the seeds ,wont you need a wheelbarrow full to get the benefit of the oil, this was my reasoning for using the organic oil,o.k it tastes like a gypsies underpants but you know its just seeds so i can handle it,i noticed a good improvment after around three months,i am now on propecia and people are commenting on my hair in a good way.I had already made the decision to try propecia, but if i'd have known the oil was so beneficial i would have stuck with it for a while, ive been on propecia for around two months,my hair is not falling out,but im sure that the oil which ive been taking longer is having a good if not better effect than the propecia. |

I think I've been taking to much Flaxseed, after thinking about my post, it says to add 2 tbsp of GROUND Flaxseed into your oatmeal. I've been adding to Tbsp of WHOLE Flaxseed into the grinder. Oh well. |

Manuel: Flaxseed powder is best according to Dr. Andrew Weil and others. They support this preference with sound reasons too. Once you open the container, be sure to keep the product refrigerated. It can become rancid otherwise. |
