Does anyone have any comments on aspartame as it relates to hair loss? I drink a decent amount of diet sodas and crystal light with artificial sweeteners such as this.. Some people claim that this stuff is very bad for you but I haven't heard a lot of comments on this board.

Click on this - Aspartame. These are long articles that have nothing to do with hair but a lot to do with health. I don't use any product that has aspartame in it even though some chemists who work at Nutrasweet assure us that it's completely safe.

RE: Artificial Sweetners
I switched to a natural sweetner called Stevia. Its not a chemical, but comes from a plant. You can purchase it through health food stores. Of course, you won't find it in diet soda or crystal light. You'd have to make you're own ice tea, lemonade, koolaid, etc. I use it in cooking/baking too. Do a search on it to learn more. I don't have a particular site to recommend. Tom probably will though, after reading my message. He's an inquisitive fellow!
