I have come across this product Nutrifolica solution on one of the web sites in England. It's principle ingredient is Saw Palmetto. In fact all the other ingredients are of a natural nature e.g. Kelp, Horsetail ..etc. A topical application. It is applied to the scalp using the spray adaptor supplied, you can massage it in if you wish too, but you can spray it on and it dries very quickly and is absorbed into the scalp skin leaving no residue whatsoever. You can do this either at night with the hair washed in the morning or apply it on after showering first thing in the morning. Signs of improvement should be seen within six months or you can have your money back. There is also a Nutrifolica shampoo one can use in conjunction with the solution to maximise the effect. The aim is to stop the hair loss and promote new growth. I have found a number of other sites selling this product, but all have the same batch of testimonials. What I want to know is , has anyone tried this or are they using Nutfrifolica at the moment, how long have they been using it and have they had any success - thank you.

I know nothing about Nutrifolica, but I'd like to make one comment about your statement: " In fact all the other ingredients are of a natural nature..."

Most people believe that if ingredients in a drug, shampoo, or topical are of "a natural nature" it must be OK. This is not necessarily so. Cocaine, opium, mercury are all of a natural nature.

The ingredients in the Nutrifolica solution are
Extracts of Nettle, Saw Palmetto, Green Tea, Horsetail, Rosemary, Sage, Ginger, Hops, Wild Cheery, Gingko Biloba, Alpha Hydroxy, Sea Kelp, Follistim, Capsicum Tincture, Peppermint Oil, Tween 20, Hydrolyzed Wheat protein, Extracts of Habenero, Lotus, Fenugreek, Myrhh, Water.
What fascinated me was the money-back guarantee given by the company, if no results were achieved within six months, which implies quite a bit of confidence in this product. I wanted to know if anyone has tried this, of the results they have had - thank you.

We're all fascinated by money-back guarantees. We're even more fascinated when these guarantees do not get our money back. The companies that produce hair-loss products are notorious for their lack of response when someone wants his money back.

Thank you for the advice - actually the money back guarantee was not my main concern. What I really wanted to know was has anyone used this product and how they managed to get on with it. I did read on this web site Tom it said that the Saw Palmetto molecule was too large to be absorbed by the scalp skin. If this is the case does it not then render all products that use Saw Palmetto useless ?

I've tried it.

The first time I tried it before bed, my scalp felt like it was almost burning, it was so warm. (saw this as a good sign for what it's worth)

My problem with it is that it's very difficult to administer to the scalp. Like trying to massage water into it. Gets on your hair but tough to rub into the scalp, unless you have very short hair or large areas of unpopulated scalp. Also I felt that the mechanical action of applying it was probably doing more harm than good.

Gave it a try for several months with no benefit. I will admit that I found it very difficult to use unfortunately which probably meant I wasn't using it 100% effectively anyway.

Thank you for this and for your honesty. There is a web site www.nutrifolica.com where there are testimonials from people all around the world. On reading them and the information on the workings of nutrifolica I did wonder that if this product is so good why is it not in the mainstream of medical news. Tom is it possible for you to look at this site and let me know what you think. I have e-mailed them for advice a couple of times, but not received any response. However, on e-mailing the equivalient site in England - www.nutrifolica.co.uk I received a response immediately that this product was producing fantatic results from people who had ordered this, but again I have no concrete evidence of this.
As far as the application of this solution is concerned, you can now spray this nutrifolica straight onto your scalp, irrespective how long you hair is and you don't even need to massage it in, just spray it on and let it dry on your scalp.

No problem, I like to give a few things a try. I have the feeling that either quite a few are happy taking your money and others have some success, or think that they do and sprint off into the sunset pretending their product works miracles.

For some reason the nutrifolica.co.uk site doesn't seem to work and various parts of the US site are down.

I did try quite a few methods of applying it to the scalp. I placed it in a bowl and dipped my fingers in it and then put it on my head. I also got a spray bottle and tried spraying it on. These had some success of putting it on my scalp but were difficult. I didn't really see any benefits and so stopped. Tried for just over 5 months or so. It's very watery I found and almost impossible to manage. Ideally dunking your head in a sink of it would work, but you'd run out quickly.

I'm the previous anon btw.

Thank you again - what you have said has been a great help, it would have been brilliant if it had worked for you. I have managed to get on the www.nutrifolica.com site and here is a letter from the president of the company :-

Letter from the President, Mr. Allen Parkinson
More than five years ago I was losing my hair at an alarming rate. I was desperate (I think you know the feeling). I had heard about the Rogaine Formula. I tried their treatment for nearly 14 months. Some hair grew in on the side but not in front where my baldness was a real handicap in business and pleasure.

I was in Paris on business and a friend told me about Nutrifolica which was formulated by Luxor of Paris. He had used it and his hair came back in front and his hair was fuller and thicker over his entire scalp. Seeing is believing so I purchased a full treatment of Nutrifolica. I was ecstatic with the results. My hair is thicker and the frontal baldness is gone. It took a while to achieve this since my baldness was pretty severe. I was so impressed with my Nutrifolica experience that I secured the franchise for the World Wide Web.

A lot of people tell me that their father or grandfather is bald so they are destined for baldness. This is not true, genetics is but one factor that contributes to hair loss. Many factors contribute to the acceleration and permanence of hair loss. Nutrifolica is designed to counteract problems such as poor scalp circulation, clogged follicles, and nutrient-deficient shafts. Our product allows you to regrow the hair you have already lost.

================

The thing that really puzzles me, is that if this product is so good, then you would have expected alot of people to be shouting about it from the roof tops.

My own thoughts, as I alluded to previously is that some work for some, others for others and not much for most of us.

When it works, one may feel lucky and move on, glad to have some hair back. Others hope it'll work for everyone and see a chance to shout about it and make some money, maybe with good intentions.

My baldness was, and fortunately is, only very slight and I would have expected some success with it in the time I gave it. Nevertheless it is still getting worse, and even trying Tom's exercise, which I find difficult, I don't see any new hair or stronger existing hair. It's free so I continue in the hope it may take time or is slowing the process.

Incidentally I made the thread at the bottom about the 101, don't know if you've tried it or know anything about it?

This is from the Nutrifolica website:

"Bio-Naturals, the designer of our formula, discovered that Habanero stimulates hair follicles 120% percent more than any other stimulator on the market.

"Habanero increases blood flow to the scalp which gives hair follicles new life since studies have indicated that the blood flow to the scalp of balding people is 2.6 times lower than people with a full head of hair."

Where do these hair loss companies get their statistics from? Is it the work of overheated imaginations?

Good questions Tom. Me being a mere simpleton was impressed by all the information on this site and the fact the site has been around for seven years caused to think that if this product is so good then there must be an enormous number of people who would have received some benefit from this which why I asked if anyone had any experience with this product as the testimonials given on the site are the same ones used by other sites selling the same product, nutrifolica.

There is a another site in England promoting this product - www.upforlife.co.uk - have a look and see what you think ?

All the people in the UK are honest. They wouldn't fool hair-loss sufferers in the US with ineffective products just to make a few dollars. Or would they?

I am originally from England. "Trichologists", inept hair transplant surgeons, and hucksters pushing scam hair loss products abound. They want more than just a few dollars.

I tired Nutrifolica, and it was the only product of many i've tired that irritated my scalp, it was red and itchy. Plus they sent 3 bottles instead of 4 i bought, and didn't discount the 22% that they were supoosed to. Funilliy enough, you can't get a refund unless you sent them 4 botlles. When you see nutrifolica run away for your life.

I just ordered Nutrifolica and it is actually working pretty well so far, hair loss is reduced as well as the itching of the scalp. Nutrifolica did not irritate my scalp in any way.

I purchased nutrifolica about a month ago and have been using it pretty steady. I haven't seen any results yet, but so far no irritation. I really hope it works.
