Hi All, Has anyone heard of male breast enlargement, or 'gynecomastia' as a side effect of propecia? Do you know how great the incidence is? Thanks! |

yes...this is a side affect. You should research something before you take it. If you read the psots hear and else where some guys complain about breast enlargement or tenderness, aches in the testes...and so forth. I have been thinking of taking it, but I'm not sure I want to go down that road... |

They say the incidence of negative sides on propecia is approx 2% - but many posters on several forums who experience the negative sides think that number to be higher. The only way to find out if you are in that chosen few who experience the negative side effects is to try the stuff. Anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks after starting on propecia, you may find that you are experiencing no side effects, or some and/or all of the below: Lack of Libido Erectile Dysfunctions Testicular Pain Gynecomastia Brain Fog Those that don't experience negative sides claim that those that do, and report on them, are using scare tactics to keep people off propecia for whatever reason. Personally, I am in that group that gets negative side effects. I lived w/ the sexual problems for awhile - because my hair was growing. Unfortunately, so too were my breasts (and I'm male btw). I took a 5 year break - lost a lot of hair - and started back on 1/2 dosage - only to experience the neg sides again. now I'm on approx 1/3 of 1mg finasteride every third day. and that's helped alleviate the side effects - too soon to tell if it'll grow my hair back though. |

After 5+ years and perhaps 1 million pushups - I'm still sporting around a perky set of man breasts. They don't go away - even w/ exercise. Now that I'm back on fin - I also purchased a bottle of anti-fat cream that someone on another forum had recommended. I've been using it for a week. Smells really strong like a super minty Ben-Gay. I really don't have high hopes about it reducing my breast tissue - but I'll give it a shot. Here it is btw: https://www.anabolicfitness.net/shop/product_info.php?id=92&cartID=3598345f02ed2 b1a2e655f72cd387a59 Like I said - someone else said it worked for him. Other than that 1 testominial - I was always under the impression that the only way to get rid of enlarged breasts was surgery. If I get lucky w/ this cream - I'll come back and spread the word. :-) |

Greetings all. Just a quick update - I used that anti-fat cream all summer (2 bottles worth) and the man boobs remain. Maybe if I'd worked out more and in a different way - the excersises + the cream combined may have done more - but in my instance anyway - the cream didn't help. Back to the drawing board. |

Anonymous welcome to the club. Try and take Propecia every 3 day and see if you are still having the side effects after 2 months and if you are i would leave it in your hands what to do about it because if you are in pain i think it would be best to stop it.But try and make it work for you before stopping. |

> . . . Have you guys considered a more natural approach such as Saw Palmetto or pumpkin seeds . . . Been there - done that - no help. (Beta Sitosterol, Progesterone Cream, Saw, Spiro 2%, Revivogen) which is why I've resorted to going back on fin. Some of the treatments I've listed above "have" helped others - but in my case anyway it was a n-go. - man boobs guy |

Graeme Australia, The thing is ive used minox for the past 2 and a half years before gettin on finastrade all it did to me was slowing down the hairloss, so now ive stoped it ive bin without the minox for about 3 weeks and without propecia for 1 week, im gonna get an hormone test soon to see whats going in my body because i started loosin my hair at a very young age at 10-11 And now its all thin all over the scalp some parts more then others...i have just recently start doin the SE which i feel contributes abit because i can feel the hair being more full after an exercise! i really really want to go the natural way without all these FDA Drogs n that is out there in the market but what more then the SE is there to do?? |

The thing about DHT inhibitors is that they increase the levels of testosterone in the body. Free testosterone can get converted into estrogen, which triggers females characteristics. Urtica dioica, also know as Stinging Nettle can be taken in supplements, and this can prevent this conversion taking place. Though the increased levels of testosterone may cause an increase in aggressivness or anger, so i recommend that you do some kind of resistance training to take advantage of this extra testosterone. I recently read an article on prostate health. Its now believed that both DHT and estrogen are both causes for an enlarged prostate |
