Every time my scalp itch I scratch it, sometimes I clap with my hands on the area and sometimes I just run my hands trough my hair until the itch is gone. But I really wonder, how vulnerable is hair really, every time I touch my hair im afraid that I have made my situation worse. I really need feedback, does anybody have some experience? Tom, how gentle should you be with your hair? I would really be grateful for an answer! Thanks

Anonymous: Scratching the scalp causes inflammation of the area. An inflamed scalp is not a good environment for hair follicles. Inflammation can sometimes trigger an immune response in the cells that make up the hair follicles. These cells are then attacked by your own immune system. Not a healthy prospect. |

I had an exchange with a guy who used an apple cider vinegar rinse and said: "The ACV treatment seems to stop my scalp from itching and it seems to have helped the hair loss alot." I put a solution of ACV and water in a spray bottle and spray it on my hair often. I don't wash my hair every day, and using this inbetween shampoos helps keep my hair looking good. |

What kind of ACV do you use? Does it smell? There is usually an acidic smell with ACV. |

I use Bragg's organic ACV. Yes, there is a mild acid smell, but not unpleasant, and it dissipates, not a problem atall...as I said, I dilute it with water. |
